Whats New...

The garage when we first moved in...
The garage now...
I insulated and drywalled the rest of the garage that wasn't already drywalled, then primered everything.  After the primer was dry, I rolled on 2 coats of satin paint.  I then built the workbench and the vertical shelves to make room for storage, stereo equipment, a mini-fridge, and a Shop-Vac.  Above the bench is a 32" TV, then more cabinet space above that.  The two large doors are now on the front of the bench.  The wall behind the TV is not painted, as it will eventually be covered in 1/2" thick cork squares.

On the left side is another cabinet- half of which is for the air compressor, and the right half is shelves.  There are now doors on these as well.  The workbench on the top side is basically for charging any and all batteries.  Also, there is a hose reel with a 50' airline that will reach the end of the driveway. I still need to paint a few things, and need to cut the trim pieces for where the walls meet the ceiling, and paint them as well, but it's pretty close to being finished.

I wanted to do something a little different.  I was thinking about putting a checkerboard design, like a 12" wide strip, around the garage, but ended up doing a few places where it looks like the paint is ripped or shredded off of the wall, with a slightly rippled checkered flag underneath.  This is the right cabinet door under the workbench.

Another one here beside the fridge.  There are a couple more that is not pictured, but you get the idea.

Above the garage door is a bunch of wasted space.  Trying to utilize every inch of garage space I can, I built a shelf all the way across the garage door.
